Extreme Couponing Tip: Filing Store Coupons

Extreme Couponing Tip: Filing Store Coupons

“Where do I file store coupons in my binder?”
There are three main options. Look below to find the one that’s best for you!
  • By Category: If you organize your binder by category, you can file store coupons under the appropriate product category. Pro: It’s easy to find manufacturer coupons to stack your store coupons with when they’re side by side!
  •
  • Extra sleeves: Set aside a few sleeves per store that you regularly shop at. Pros: it’s easy to check expiration dates and they’re with the rest of your coupons.
    • Sleeves are available in many sizes– 9 pockets (baseball trading card), 8 pocket (coupons/ gaming cards), 6 pockets (tall/ wide trading cards), 4 pockets (postcard/ photo), 3 pockets (currency), and 2 pocket (5×7 photos).
    •
  • Envelopes: Label an envelope with each store’s name. At the start of the ad week, take out the expired coupons & put in the current ones. Pro: While you’re preparing your shopping trip, you can also add appropriate manufacturer coupons that you will be using in the envelope.
