Walgreens Weekly Deals Update: Schick, Zarbee’s, Theraflu, Mentos UP2U Gum…

This is for all you Walgreens shoppers… I just got through reading all the comments on the Walgreens weekly deals post and want to update you all on what I read.

First, I am happy to report that according to many of you, the $5/1 Schick coupons can be used AND you will still get back the $5 RR! Yay for better than FREE Schick razors and cartridges! :D

And, on another positive note, if you plan on purchasing (or have already purchase) the FREE after Register Reward Zarbee’s Nightime Cough & Sleep drink (6 pk), make sure to look inside the box for a $1/1 coupon to use on your next purchase! And you know what that means… you can head back to your local Walgreens and use this coupon to score a better than FREE box of Zarbee’s!

Zarbee’s Nightime Cough & Sleep drink 6 pk $5.99 = $5.99 RR
Use the $1/1 coupon found in the box
Pay $4.99
Get back a $5.99 RR
Final cost as low as FREE + $1 moneymaker!
Now on to the not so great news…
It appears quite a few of you are having problems with the Theraflu Register Reward deal. The Theraflu Multi-Symptom Severe Cold With Lipton Green Tea & Honey Lemon Flavors seems to not be working towards the Register Reward deal, however, some of you have actually left comments stating that it did print for you when you purchased this variety. So I am not sure what is going on, but I am hoping Walgreens will get this cleared up soon. This Lipton variety of Theraflu is pictured in the ad (as you can see from the pic above), so it should be considered part of the Register Reward deal. Please let us know if this variety is working at your local Walgreens.

Also, lots of you are having issues with the Mentos UP2U gum deal. I posted that this gum would be FREE when you combine the in ad coupon with the Walgreens coupon found in the October coupon booklet and the manufacturer’s coupon available. Well, it seems the October coupon booklet Walgreens coupon is not working currently. I am hoping this is some sort of glitch and that they will get this issue fixed soon. Until then, you can still score the following deal…

Mentos Up2U Gum 14 piece $0.99 with in ad coupon
Use the $1/2 coupon found in the 8/14 or 9/11 SS
Final cost only $0.49 per pack!

Thanks, Hip2Save.com

My CVS + Walgreens Trip 9/25

I hope these pictures are helping you get the idea of how to be "oh so Savvy!" :)

Paid $3.94 for all of the above! See how:

Today I went to CVS first, they had just gotten a shipment in and some items were not out on the shelves yet, so I missed out on a few deals (Excedrin and Renu), but it is okay, I am sure I will be back sometime this week.

At CVS I only spent a total out of pocket of $2.14 (I used the ecb's from last week!) and I received a total of $18.79 back (to use later this week or next week!), which is the best situation any savvy lady or gent can be in, which is to be paid to shop :) I made $16.65 this week! YAY! I did 3 transactions.

CVS Shopping list:
2 ThermaCare
1 Renu (the only one left!) ($2/1 coupon)
2 Colgate Optic White ($1.50/1 + $1/1 CVS coupons)
2 Schick Quattro Refills! (I needed these so badly!) ($4/1 coupons)

Total:  $40 in products, and made $16.65MM (money maker) so everything was FREE!

At Walgreens, things were a little different, I didn't have any RR (register rewards, aka Walgreens money) coming in, so my out of pocket was a little higher, but it all worked out at the end!
I spent $14.14 out of pocket but I have (after all my transactions) $10.20 in RR for next week! So, I got all my goods for $3.94!

Walgreens Shopping List (I did 5 transactions)
2 Zarbee's Children's cold medicine ($1/1 coupon)
1 Walgreens Maxi Pad
2 Theraflu ($2/1 coupon)
2 Gummie Bears ($0.30/1 coupon)
16 packs of gum ($1/2) + walgreens ad coupon + october booklet coupons
5 Hershey bars
5 Hershey Air Delight bars (Free coupon wyb any hershey bar)
2 Balance Bars ($0.55/1)
2 Remington Razors
3 Schick Quattro Razor refills ($4/1 coupon)
1 Cheetos
5 Halloween bags (fillers)

Total: $90, paid $3.94

How did you do this week???
