Gameplay Tour Coming to Grapevine Mills ~ October 15th-16th

 

Grapevine Mills will host the 2011 Simon GamePlay tour connecting fans of all ages to the hottest video games before they are officially launched and available in stores. This interactive event will feature a “Nintendo 3DS Lounge” decked out with couches, snacks and games. 2011 Cottonwood Art Festival ~ Richardson ~ October 1st & 2nd

 

Mark your calendars for the 43rd annual Richardson’s Cottonwood Art Festival,  Oct. 1-2nd.  Over 240 artists will be showing their pieces in fun-filled outdoor setting — ‘There’s An Art To Having Fun!’ All artists will be there and available to discuss their work. The little ones will love the mini-Monet area, an interactive area with paintbrushes and more for the kids.

This event has been rated the fifth-best art festival in the United States, and is the premier fine arts event in North Texas! Head over from  9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2. Some children’s events require a fee. The artist’s works are available for purchase. Food and drink are also on sale.

Cottonwood Art Festival is a juried show and this year approximately 1,000 artists submitted their work for consideration. Jurors selected only 240 artists to exhibit their museum-quality work. Artists competed in 16 fine art/fine crafts categories: 2-D Mixed Media, 3-D Mixed Media, Clay, Decorative Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Oil, Watercolor, Drawing/Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Wearable Fiber, Wood and Leather. All works are museum-quality.
