Meteor Shower tonight and tomorrow across our Texas Sky!

FREE ~ Cosmic Show Tonight: FREE & Live From Your
Backyard!  (a.k.a. The Perseid Meteor Shower)

Take in the Perseid Meteor Shower that will sparkle the big Texas sky tonight, with a star-gazing party from the comfort of your own backyard (or for the best view, go to the edge of town to get away from the city lights). The Perseids Shower is one of the best meteor showers to observe, producing up to 60-100 meteors per hour at the peak which takes place Friday and Saturday during the predawn hours.

Details, details
What: You will be able to see the Perseids without aid of a telescope ~ but perhaps not without coffee since the peak viewing time takes place between 11pm and the wee hours of 4am.   Look approximately half way up the sky facing northeast. Learn more about viewing the Perseids here.

Where: From the comfort of your own backyard OR even better, head to the outskirts of town, away from city lights for best Perseids viewing.

When: Friday and Saturday, August 12 & 13  between 11pm-4am is the peak of the meteor shower show.  If interrupting your sleep tonight is not in the plans ~ not to worry ~ you should be able to see Perseids meteor activity from now until August 24.
