Dallas Museum of Art ~ First Tuesdays (11/1) ~ FREE Admission



Check out First Tuesdays, this Tuesday at the Dallas Museum of Art, for children and their families. On November 1 and again on December 6, from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., there is an array of activities for children at the Center for Creative Connections (C3), located in the museum. General admission to the Museum is free on the first Tuesday of every month. First Tuesday programming is specifically designed for children ages five and under, but all ages are welcome. Enjoy thematic art-making activities, story times, performances, and gallery activities.

Drop in and make a neighborhood necklace, and then wear your creation home.

Find inspiration in Google Earth images of Dallas, and then use cardboard boxes to help construct a miniature city.

Join award-winning storyteller Ann Marie Newman for stories and songs based on works in the Museum’s collection.

a walk around the block family tour12:15–12:45 p.m., Meet at the C3 entrance
See how artist Mark Bradford uses comic book pages, post-it notes, twine, and other found materials as we explore his work in this interactive, family-friendly tour.

story time with the Dallas Public Library1:00–1:30 p.m., C3 Theater
Listen to enchanting stories told by our librarian friends and participate in an Every Child Ready to Read
mini-workshop.

tunes and ditties with Doc Gibbs1:30–2:00 p.m., C3 Center Space
Sing, dance, and laugh along with musician Doc Gibbs in this toe-tapping musical experience just for kids.
