Grab your pumpkins and shuck your corn…it’s time for a good old-fashioned Frontier Fall Fest! You’ll be able to grind grain by hand, shell corn, thresh wheat, “bob” for apples, press tortillas and more. We’ll also have help celebrating the harvest with friends from the Greater Fort Worth Herb Society, Silversmyth Julie Hiltbrunner, Wyatt Earp dealing the card game Faro, Cooper Dan “Five Buckets” Tatum, the Lone Star Leather Crafters and Buttermilk Junction Old Time String Band, just to name a few! Bring your own carved or painted pumpkin to enter our “best design” contest (judging at 3 p.m.) For a small additional fee, you can even make your own festive corn husk doll and/or copper bracelet to take home! Cost is regular Village admission plus $3 craft fee for corn husk doll and $5 craft fee for copper bracelet.

Bring your camera. For your FALL DECORATIONS, we have orange and exotic pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks and gourds of all kinds to buy. You’ll love our gift shop, which was once a milking parlor. Hay rides are included in admission (we’ve added an additional tractor and wagon to our fleet to keep the line moving), and you’ll get to play in the 3-story tree house, Jumping Pillow, wooden maze and other playground activities. We have 3 mazes, a hay-play and jump barn, 100 ft. super chute slide, pedal kart race track, GOAT SCAPE MOUNTAIN, picnic pavillion, and indoor restrooms. Face and pumpkin painting are available for $6 each. Come hungry to the Mainstay Grill where you can purchase: gourmet hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage-on-a-stick, caramel apple chips, pumpkin ice cream, and pumpkin pie. We also have a snack stand on the back of the farm. Bring your family and enjoy our farm.

To protect the brave firefighters who guard our families, homes, and communities, the WPI Firefighters’ Fund (WPIFF) and Bass Pro Shops host the Stop-Drop-n-Roll Chili Cook- Off in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, TX. For six consecutive years, this Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI)- sanctioned chili cook-off has raised awareness and funds for injured or fallen firefighters and their families.
An October Texas tradition, the annual Stop-Drop-n-Roll Chili Cook-Off brings in thousands of rabid chilienthusiasts nationwide. Admission is free, and all-day chili sample cups are $5 a pop. Every dollar contributed or donated goes directly to the WPIFF.
