Dallas/Ft. Worth Area Family Weekend Events Round Up

It seems like weekends over the past few months have been filled to capacity with fun and exciting things to do with our families. This weekend there are fewer events to share as I am sure most of us will be ringing in the New Year in the homes of our friends and family. So, let me just say I wish everyone a Happy New Year and I can’t wait for all the fun and exciting events to share with you in 2012!

Winstar World Casino’s Big D NYE
Saturday, Dec. 31st  Beginning at 7:00pm

Celebrate New Year’s Eve Time Square style at Big D NYE at the American Airlines Center and Victory Park.  Enjoy great music from the band Good Shive Low and watch the wonderful display of Fireworks to ring in the New Year. You may bring blankets, strollers and collapsable chairs but you may not bring alchol; it will be sold at the event.  Don’t forget you can take the DART Rail to Victory Station for this fun night.

Let the kids celebrate New Year’s Eve early by taking them to Going Bonkers.  They can release all their energy as they run around in the indoor playground and play arcade games.  There is even a time-out room for parents (with free wi-fi) with a complete view of the arcade and playground.  Please remember there are no outside food or drinks permitted and socks must be worn at all times.
