New Changes to the Amazon Mom Program for 2012

There are a few changes coming to Amazon Mom.  Here’s the scoop starting January 24, 2012:

All Amazon Mom members will see a maximum 20% discount on all eligible products.  (So if you have a current 30% discounted subscription in your account from earlier this year, it will no longer be available.)

All new members to the Amazon Mom program will be given 3 months of Free 2 Day Shipping with a modified Amazon Prime trial.  You will no longer be eligible to extend that to a full year by making monthly qualified purchases.  All of those who have earned their extra Prime trial will continue to finish out their benefit.

Once your free shipping benefits end, you can sign up for Amazon Prime for $79 per year (about $6.58 per month).

And I think it’s totally worth it.  Let me show you why…
Amazon Prime members receive:
  • FREE 2 Day Shipping on millions of items with no minimum purchase
  • Unlimited instant streaming of thousands of videos and television shows
  • 1 Kindle book to borrow for free each month from the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library
If you pay for Netflix streaming, you can save money immediately by switching from that to watching the thousands of free tv and video items available at Amazon.  Plus it offers you the flexibility of taking advantage of Amazon’s crazy sale prices without having to spend extra money on shipping or meeting a minimum purchase requirement.  At only $6.58 per month, if you normally purchase from Amazon once monthly and pay shipping, you’re going to pretty much break even.

PLUS – Amazon Prime members get to upgrade most eligible items to 1 day shipping for just $3.99 per item.  It’s an awesome deal.

You can learn all about how it works and sign up here!

Thanks, couponconnections
