I just got back from the Texas State Fair and I have to say that I had a blast! The kids really liked it too! Here are some ongoing deals so you can save some money!Don't Forget to read the whole post so you can see which day offers the best promotions.
Parking is $15 or $30 for Vallett inside the Fair. There are a lot of people doing "parking lot" deals anywhere from $5-$15 parking. We parked behind the Jack-in-the-box for $10.
Coupons: 20 coupons for $10 but you can buy them individually also for $0.50 each
Food Prices (these are an estimate that I can remember)
1. Corndogs (8-12 tickets)
2. Fried Cheesecake (10 tickets)
3. Lemonade (6-8 tickets)
4. Funnel Cake (12 tickets)
5. Fried Cheese (10 Tickets)

How to get Tickets and On going promotions:
Kroger
Advance purchase General Admission tickets are $14.50. A Season Pass is $29.95. They may be purchased at the check-out counter or at the service desk. The season pass includes a one-day companion ticket (good Monday-Friday) and one Cinemark ticket. DART Combo ticket is $17 and only available at Kroger. It includes a one-time round trip on DART and Fair admission.
Kroger Can Food Drive.
Any Wednesday. Admission is $2 for each visitor bringing 3 cans of food for North Texas Food Bank.
Senior Day.
FREE Thursdays--Senior Citizens 60 years and older get in to the State Fair FREE each Thursday.
McDonald's.
Any Day--McDonald's offers $4 off General Admission with one of their State Fair coupons (available on tray liner or bag stuffer) any day of the Fair. A free child ticket (with purchase of general admission) coupon is also distributed by McDonald’s. Offer may not be combined with any other offer.
Dasani/Coca-Cola.
Opening Day-Sept. 30 Bring a bottle of Dasani water (or any Coca-Cola product) for donation to the North Texas Food Bank containers at Fair admission gates and get in for $5 per (per donation) per person.
Dr Pepper $4 Tuesdays.
Any Tuesday, bring an empty Dr Pepper can and enter for $4. Most rides (excluding the Thrillway and the Texas Star) are 5 coupons.
Dr Pepper $5 after 5
Any day after 5 p.m., bring an empty Dr Pepper can and enter for $5 after 5 p.m.
Coke $5 Thursdays.
Bring an empty 20 oz. bottle of a Coca-Cola product and enter the Fair for $5 admission.
Dickies Day.
Thursday, Oct. 6, only.Anyone wearing a Dickies logo clothing item will receive a free voucher for admission to the Fair on same day.
Cinemark Thursdays. Present Cinemark Movie Theatre ticket stub and receive free admission any Thursday.
KISS-FM “Fridays at the Fair” Half-price admission and rides after 5pm on any Friday. Must present coupon which can be printed from KISS-FM website for admission offer. Half-price ride wristbands will be distributed ONLY from the Ticket Booths from 5 pm to 9 pm on Fridays
