The Tornado’s have two games this weekend. While both are sure to be entertaining, Saturday’s game at 7:30 will have some extra-special flare. First of all, Saturday is the Tornado Halloween Spooktacular. All children 14 and under who come dressed in a costume will get in for free, and we’ll also be holding a Best Costume Competition during one of the intermissions. But make sure you stick around for the entire game, because after it’s over there will also be a postgame skate with the Tornado players. You can either bring your own skates, or rent them from the front lobby of Dr Pepper Arena for $3.

Sunday, October 30 is the closing day celebration of Art in October in the DallasArts District. Enjoy free admission to the museum, a Fall Block Party, live music and dance, Doggies in the District, zombies, and food trucks. The DMA will be hosting a FREE Carnival of Creativity from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (with free admission through 5:00 p.m.) featuring art-making in the C3 Studio, an artist demonstration by John Bramblitt, a performance by Mariachi Rosas Divinas, a costume parade, and more.
Tuesday, November 1 is My Neighborhood FREE first Tuesday with a day of activities for our visitors five and under. Meet Arturo, join the “A walk around the block” family tour, participate in storyART, and construct a miniature city. Free admission is from11:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

:: 20th Anniversary Fort Worth Boo at the Zoo Event
    Friday to Sunday ~ October 28-30
Boo at the Zoo is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year! This fun family event will feature events, games, trick-or-treating, and the most popular attraction: Zoo animals! Daytime event hours will make the entire Zoo open to Boo at the Zoo guests, allowing keepers to incorporate themed activities into the animal exhibits throughout the entire park. Children are invited to wear their favorite costumes.

:: FREE! Family Festival: On Stage with Caravaggio at the Kimbell    Saturday, October 29, 2011
Enjoy an afternoon of free family fun for all ages at the Kimbell Art Museum on Saturday. This event will feature creative art-making activities, historic-dress stations, scheduled family tours, a musical instrument “petting zoo” and musical performances by Texas Camerata. No reservations necessary. Admission to the special exhibition Caravaggio and His Followers in Rome is free during this event.
