:: The Circo Del Rey Circus is This Weekend in Keller!
Friday and Saturday,  August 26 & 27
Circo Del Rey is not a traditional 3-ring circus. It is a story-oriented experience, and much like Cirque du Soleil,  it is a high-energy spectacular that features incredible high-wire acts, the death-defying Motorcycle Cage of Death, astonishing illusions and much more.  In fact, many of the performers are Cirque du Soleil members, appearing in their off-time with Circo Del Rey!  There will be 3 Circo Del Rey performances and tickets are as low as $7 each ~ a cheap outing for the whole family.

Family Event at the Gaylord Texan

Friday, August 26, 2011 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular firework shows each Friday through the summer, now through Labor day. If you want to add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform ~ and they will have a DJ, games for kids, and food and beverages for purchase.

Join the Fort Worth Central Library and other families for a free showing
of the film How to Eat Fried Worms on Saturday, August 27th.
About the movie:  On the first day of school, 11-year-old Billy throws a worm at Joe, the school bully. To settle the score, Joe challenges Billy to a bet: He has to eat ten worms in one day. And so Billy sets out to win the respect of everyone – by eating the worms. Based on the book by Thomas Rockwell. Rated PG
